The Portuguese League announced this Thursday that there will be two more matches on the next round of the championship with the public. In addition to Santa Clara – Sporting, whose presence of fans had already been authorized, also Tondela-Portimonense (20.30 hours), scheduled for this Friday, as well as Farense-Rio Ave, scheduled for Sunday (15 hours), at Estádio Algarve , can have a maximum of 15% of the capacity of the respective stadiums.

The decision was made after a meeting between the president of the Pedro Proença League, the General Director of Health Graça Freitas, the Secretary of State for Health, António Lacerda Sales, and the Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, João Paulo Rebelo. .

«This choice was based on the evaluation of the regional epidemiological situation of the places where the different stages are located. The League undertakes, similarly to what happened in the other three pilot tests already carried out, to comply with all the determinations of the DGS and to ensure that the sanitary and distancing regulations are met. The use of a mask will be mandatory and in the stadium there will be several dispensers of alcohol-gel so that the fans are in total safety, “he explains in a statement.

For next Monday, the League will have a new meeting with the health authorities, to present the reports and balance sheets of the matches this weekend, as well as to define the next steps to take in the resumption of citizenship.
