Hundreds of homes have already been destroyed by the fires that devastate Oregon, in the United States, and that can cause “a great number” of deaths, said today the governor of the state, Kate Brown.

“In the past 24 hours, Oregon has been hit by unprecedented wildfires, with significant damage and devastating consequences for the entire state,” added Kate Brown.
The governor says she expects “a lot of losses, both in terms of buildings and lives.”
The Detroit, Blue River, Vida, Phoenix and Talent communities were “destroyed on a massive scale,” Brown said, warning that weather conditions have not improved and other communities are at risk.
In California, the fire devastated more than 10,000 square kilometers this year and killed at least eight people, according to firefighters.
