‘Público’ anticipates that incarnates signed a contract that imposed severe sanctions on the Sadinos if the Moroccan went to FC Porto, Sporting or Sp.

The newspaper ‘Público’ announced this Wednesday that Benfica financed the purchase of a player by V. Setúbal, having signed an illegal preference contract with the Sadinos in the eyes of FIFA. A 2019 agreement is at stake when V. Setúbal paid 1.25 million euros for the hiring of Moroccan Khalid Hachadi. Of this amount, 800 thousand euros went to the Olympique Club Khourigba, 150 thousand to the player himself and 300 thousand euros to the account of a businessman as a brokerage commission. But the one who would have financed the transfer, according to that newspaper, was Benfica who signed an illegal right of first refusal agreement with the Sadinos, paying 900,000 euros: among other clauses, the document provided that if Hachadi would be transferred to a third club, rescinded by Mutual agreement or just cause, without granting Benfica the right of first refusal, the incarnate would be compensated with 1.5 million euros (or 6.5 million if transferred to FC Porto, Sporting or Sp. Braga).

The contract, which was not registered on the FIFA Transfer Matching System platform, violates the regulation that establishes that “no club may enter into a contract in which any counterpart of that contract, as well as a third party, acquires the ability to influence the work or transfer, independence, policies or performance of the teams of that club ”.
