Braga was the only major club to spend more than in the previous year.

Benfica spent 20.3 million euros between April 1, 2020 and March 31 of this year, the highest amount among professional clubs in Portugal, announced the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).

In the table released today by the FPF, write down the amount spent by the SAD of the Reds, who as a club spent an additional 61.8 thousand euros, for women’s football.

The value is well above the national champion FC Porto, who spent 15.4 million with intermediaries in transfers and contractual acts, while Braga closes the podium with 9.9 million.

Minho is ahead of the championship leader Sporting, who paid out 8.5 million, and was the only major club to spend more than in the previous period.

All the others decreased, with eagles making the largest reduction, from 34.2 million to 20.3 million. Dragons dropped from 23.7 million to 15.4 million and lions went from 15.9 million to 8.5 million.

The only club also above a million euros on the list is Vitória de Guimarães, with 2.3 million, while Portimonense is the only club in the I Liga that does not appear on the table with any business.

The largest amount allocated by a sports society in the II League is that of Estoril, with 246.6 thousand. On the list, note for the 60 thousand euros spent by Santa Cruz Alvarenga, from the districts of Aveiro.
