Bayern Munich safeguarded, with Benfica, an option to buy the Tiago Dantas pass for 7.5 million euros.
On Monday, announcing the loan agreement for the average young man, the More soccer quoted an official source from Benfica to indicate that a purchase option was not contemplated. However, it was found in the meantime that this clause is even present in the contract between the two parties.
The negotiations were long, and concluded only on the day the market closed in Germany, but it was decided that Bayern Munich could keep Tiago Dantas at the end of the 2020/21 season, in exchange for 7.5 million euros. Benfica may, later on, receive more for the young midfielder, insofar as it safeguards a percentage of the possible capital gains from a future sale by the German emblem.
Connected to Benfica since he was four years old (2004), Tiago Dantas is now leaving for the first time. Assigned by Bayern coach Hans Flick, the Portuguese under-20 international will train regularly with the main team. It has already done this Wednesday, the rest, the day of the debut.
