Recently, a study led by researchers from the United States and England presented a survey on a vaccine well known to Brazilians, BCG. Countries that do not have effective and mandatory policies for tuberculosis vaccination had approximately ten times more deaths due to covid-19, a disease caused by the coronavirus. But you don’t have to worry if you can’t find it there – chances are the scar will go away over time.
Unfortunately, not all countries have the vaccine as mandatory, since it is used only in specific cases, such as the United States, Italy and Spain, which unfortunately concentrate a large number of cases and deaths due to the coronavirus.

Analysis implications
According to the survey, it is not yet possible to determine if the tuberculosis vaccine has any impact on the treatment of the coronavirus. However, some researchers in New York have managed to uncover a possible correlation between the pandemic and the countries where this vaccine is mandatory. The study preview has not yet been officially released and has not yet been reviewed.
Also according to the previous publication, the analysis performed evaluated the progress and mortality of covid-19 between March 9 and 24 in approximately 178 countries. When BCG vaccination policies existed, they presented up to 10 times fewer cases (approximately 38.4 per 1 million inhabitants). The researchers also took into account some crucial problems, such as the number of days the virus circulates, the level of social isolation and the analysis of public policies present at the site.

An interesting fact to analyze: Portugal and Spain, neighboring countries, have extremely different numbers regarding deaths caused by the disease. Portugal, which has an effective vaccination policy (which includes BCG), already represents almost 400 deaths in total, while Spain, which does not have a mandatory program, exceeds the mark of 14,000 deaths.
It’s worth remembering that the researchers’ test results will likely come out soon. It is also important to note that the BCG vaccine should not even be considered without a prescription. Lack of information and precipitation can be very costly.
