On loan from Benfica to Bayern Munich, Tiago Dantas did not register in due time in the Bundesliga, proof that he will not be able to play until January.
This information was advanced by the newspaper “A Bola”, in this Saturday’s edition.
Contacted by More soccer, a Bayern source confirmed that Tiago Dantas “can play in the Bundesliga and the Champions League from January.”
CMTV said earlier in the night that the player was left out of the Bundesliga because the transfer was not completed on time. The deadline was set at 6pm (local) Monday, minus one in mainland Portugal.
The transfer was not made official until the next day, when the player arrived in Munich, but the deal was closed the day before, although not in time to become a member of the Bundesliga.
This does not prevent, however, that Tiago Dantas is used in Bayern’s B team, which disputes the third step, organized by the German federation (and not by the League), as well as the cup.
