Until 12:30 pm, he had registered 80 occurrences in the district of Faro due to bad weather, but the number will increase, as some situations “are being monitored at the municipal level and will be reported later,” a source from the Faro District Aid Operations Command (CDOS) told Lusa.

In Silves, the fall of two walls caused damage to eight vehicles that were parked on public roads and in the industrial area of ​​Loulé it was “Small floods” in warehouses, since it is a “localized” situation, he added.

In the municipality of Olhão, which had already been affected by bad weather last Friday, with several floods on public roads, the situation was more serious overnight, he said. In Loulé, the precipitation was more intense during the morning.

Heavy rains have affected some homes and businesses throughout the region, although there are no no “very relevant” situation, according to Civil Protection.

According to the same source, the forecasts for the afternoon “are not worrying”, and there should be a “relief of the situation” in the Algarve, although the eastern (eastern) part of the Algarve may be more affected.
