On Terceira Island, in the context of the chain of transmission associated with a restaurant in the São Mateus parish, five positive cases were diagnosed, namely, a 54-year-old woman and four men, aged 17 to 59, one of them by testing performed at the end of the 14-day period of prophylactic isolation.

In the municipality of Praia da Vitoria, on Terceira Island, in the context of a new chain of transmission reported this Tuesday, two women, aged 31 and 51, were diagnosed.

The Regional Health Authority also reports that, on the island of São Miguel, two women, aged 36 and 58, were diagnosed, the cases being epidemiologically investigated.

It should be noted that all the contacts close to the prisons and the cases in epidemiological investigation were subjected to prophylactic isolation from the moment they were identified by the Municipal Health Office.
