RECOVERIES

There were 19 recoveries in the Region, 13 in São Miguel and six in Terceira Island, bringing the total number of cases recovered to 509.

All the contacts close to the penitentiary centers and the cases in epidemiological investigation have complied with prophylactic isolation since their identification by the Municipal Health Office.

CURRENT SITUATION IN THE REGION

The Region now has 33 active transmission chains, 22 on the island of São Miguel, eight on the island of Terceira, one shared between the island of São Miguel and the island of São Jorge, one on the island of Pico and one on the island of São Jorge.

To date, 964 cases of contagion by the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes the COVID-19 disease, have been detected, with 509 recovered cases and 359 active positive cases currently, of which one in the island of Santa Maria, 244 on the island. from São Miguel, 106 on Terceira Island, one on São Jorge Island, two on Pico Island, three on Faial Island and two on Flores Island.
