– 1, resident, with a history of trips abroad in the Region, with a positive result on the 6th day.

THIRD – 1 NEW CASE

(Related to previously identified transmission chains).

RECOVERIES – 33

– Terceira – 13 (10 in Angra do Heroísmo and 3 in Praia da Vitória)

– S. Miguel – 20 (3 in Ponta Delgada, 4 in Ribeira Grande and 13 in Vila Franca do Campo).

CURRENT SITUATION IN THE REGION:

INTERNATIONS – 15

– 8, at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital in Ponta Delgada

– 7 in the Santo Espírito Hospital on Terceira Island – 2 of which in the ICU

ACTIVE DRIVE CHAINS – 70

– 52 in S. Miguel (two new chains in the last 24 hours, in Ribeira Grande).

– 1 chain shared between São Miguel and São Jorge

– 17 on Terceira Island

To date, forty chains have been extinguished.

– There are currently 355 active positive cases, 262 in S. Miguel, 89 in Terceira, 1 in Pico and 3 in Faial.

– To date, 1,650 cases of infection by the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which causes the COVID-19 disease, have been detected, with 21 deaths and 1,188 recoveries.

The measures to prevent and contain a pandemic must be maintained and strengthened, whenever possible, by citizens and organizations from the public, private and social sectors.
