The case diagnosed on the island of São Miguel refers to a 66-year-old woman, close contact with a high risk of one of the newly diagnosed positive cases.

Thus, so far, 288 cases of infection by the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which causes the disease Covid-19, have been detected in the Region, with 66 currently active positive cases, of which 46 on the island from São Miguel, nine on Terceira Island, six on Pico Island, four on Graciosa Island and one on Santa María Island.
