Azores registers four new cases in the last 24 hours

The four cases correspond to non-residents in the Region and come from an air connection with the Portuguese mainland, according to a note from the Regional Health Authority.

On the island of São Miguel, a 25-year-old woman was diagnosed by a SARS-CoV-2 detection test carried out on arrival, and two men, aged 30 and 37, who had been examined before boarding with a negative result and test carried out from the sixth day with a positive result.

On the island of Terceira, a 19-year-old young man was detected, who upon arrival tested positive.

To date, 375 cases of infection by the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus have been detected in the Region, with 74 currently active positive cases, of which 56 on São Miguel Island, 11 on Terceira Island, one in the Graciosa Island, two on Pico Island, two on Faial Island, one on Santa María Island and one on Flores Island.
