Apple launches new iPhone SE for 499 euros

As expected, Apple has released the new iPhone SE. This new team fulfills practically all the rumors. 4.7-inch Retina HD display, A13 Bionic processor, 12MP wide-angle camera, Touch ID, several new features that even went a little beyond the best predictions regarding sensors. An iPhone 8 adapted to SE 2020.

For a price starting at 499 euros, the iPhone SE has some advantages, but you can only book it from 1:00 p.m. to 4/17.

Apple officially announced the new iPhone SE, a low-cost iPhone that costs 499 euros for a version with 64 GB of storage. As we can see, it has the same basic shape and appearance as the iPhone 8, which means it has a 4.7-inch screen, large bezels on the top and bottom, and a home button with Touch ID. It's a design that has been consistent since the iPhone 6, making the iPhone SE essentially the fifth generation of the same look.



It is available for pre-order this Friday, April 17 and will launch on April 24. As Pplware advanced here, this device is priced at € 499 for the 64GB model. A 128 GB model will be offered for 549 euros and a 256 GB model for 669 euros.
Like other iPhones, it will come with a free year of Apple TV Plus service. In terms of colors it will come in black, white and red.

The iPhone SE is essentially an iPhone 8 with a better camera and processor, and a lower price. So while it's a relatively old design, this iPhone SE has Apple's Bionic A13 chip, the same one that's available on the latest iPhone 11 and 11 Pro models.


Before and after story:

The original iPhone SE kept the size of the iPhone 5, with a 4-inch screen, had 2 GB of RAM and what, at the time, was Apple's top processor, the A9. In other words, we were talking about a model that offered almost everything that the two older brothers offered, kept the benchmarks high, for a completely different value (from 499 euros at launch).

This time, we have a team based on the design that accompanied the iPhones 6, 6s, 7 and 8, with a 4.7-inch diagonal screen. In this way, Apple will have decided to take advantage of this design, thus saving the costs of developing a product from scratch.

In terms of technical specifications, we now have an A13 Bionic, Apple's latest powerful processor. At the screen level, the new iPhone SE is accompanied by a Retina HD LCD screen, with Apple's True Tone technology, with a resolution of 1334 × 750 and a density of 326pp.
Also note the brightness, which, according to the brand, will reach 625 nits in normal mode, which is equivalent to the iPhone 11.

The smartphone is also IP67 certified, being dust and water resistant for up to 30 minutes at a depth of one meter. In addition, we are also witnessing the return of Touch ID, with no biometric sensor expected for facial reading.
When it comes to cameras, it comes equipped with a single rear camera, 12MP and f / 1.8 aperture, with digital zoom up to 5x. However, despite a single rear sensor, Apple chose to allow, through software and in a similar way to what had already happened with the iPhone XR, advanced depth control and bokeh effect. We also have the presence of Video recording up to 4k 60fps.
In front camera, we have a 7MP sensor, with an aperture of f / 2.2, which, in turn, also allows the effect bokeh in the photos. As for video recording, it is 1080p, 30fps, with automatic image stabilization.
As for the autonomy of the device, we can have its Achilles heel here, since the brand indicates that it will be around similar values ​​to those of the iPhone 8. But after launching it, it will be possible to obtain more information on this point.


Are we facing a sales success?
Taking into account the prices, which we have seen previously, these are different from the best in the range, and taking into account the current economic situation, we can face a strong candidate for sales success, for all those who wish to enter or keep yes, in the Apple system, but without the need to invest large amounts.
