The only deputy from Chega denied having connections with the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) parade, which took place earlier this month at the headquarters of SOS Racismo in Lisbon and was claimed by the National Resistance.

On the social network Twitter, André Ventura wrote this Saturday that “when we demonstrate, we present ourselves. We are thousands! ”.

HE cheep It comes after the news advanced by “Expresso” that says that the threats sent to the 10 deputies, activists and associative leaders will be investigated by the Judicial Police as a terrorist crime and that there are currently two investigations opened by the Public Ministry on this matter: one about the threatening emails and the other investigates the “Ku Klux Klan parade” and intends to investigate possible connections between Chega members with the neo-Nazi group. The two inquiries may converge in one, because “it is unlikely that the threats deviate from the concentration in front of the headquarters of SOS Racismo,” admits a judicial source to the newspaper “Expresso”.

While awaiting evidence, six of the 10 victims are under the protection of the PSP’s Personal Security Corps.

This group of ten people, which includes the leader of the SOS Racismo Mamadu Bá association and the deputies Joacine Katar Moreira, Mariana Mortágua and Beatriz Gomes, received an email threat to intimidate them into leaving “national territory” in 48 hours and end to “their political functions.” The threats come days after the “Ku Klux Klan parade” near the headquarters of SOS Racismo in Lisbon, claimed by the National Resistance.
