An infected Sociohabita employee had already performed two negative tests

The Sociohabita employee who tested positive for covid-19 today, had already taken two negative tests, since he returned to the Region after a vacation, according to the City Council news portal.

According to funchal.pt, the employee “isolates himself” at his residence, since last Saturday, the day he began to experience symptoms.

“The worker then contacted IASaúde and waited for the test, which occurred last night,” reveals the same source.

Upon learning of the positive case today, the Funchal City Council activated the internal contingency plan, which happened “after the end of office hours”, following the communication from IASAÚDE.

The municipality emphasizes that “all the necessary measures are being taken to help identify the contacts that have occurred, in close collaboration” with the health authorities.

Meanwhile, the floor of the SociohabitaFunchal building where the worker performs his functions (in the old Treasury building, next to the Town Hall) has been closed and will continue this Wednesday, for the complete cleaning of the space.

This employee is one of the three cases of covid-19 reported this Tuesday by IASAÚDE. It is recalled that, according to the bulletin, two cases are imported from Germany and one from Lisbon.
