Alto Tâmega Rally: Scared accident

[ad_1]

This first day of the Alto Tâmega Rally was marked by the impressive skating on the Chaves stage of the young Englishman Ruari Bell, whose Ford Fiesta 1.0L, due to a technical problem (lack of brakes, as the pilot later recognized), came off the road and ran over two rally security vehicles, fire trucks and ambulances, resulting in several injuries, one of them, a firefighter, more serious.

The British duo lost the brakes of their Fiesta at the end of a fast lane and when they ran into a hook to the left they could not do more than get off the road and unfortunately, there were people out of place, because if there are places where nobody should being is in the exhausts, much less in a completely exposed area after very hard braking. Any bad luck, the cars keep going and that’s exactly what happened in this case.

Fire trucks are properly parked, so in no case can there be people in front of you. At most, protected as much as possible by these cars. Unfortunately, a firefighter was screened with violence, and a second person was also screened, albeit with less violence. The pilot and copilot had minor injuries, the more serious the firefighter was, the closer he was. The section was interrupted, help was given, the wounded were transferred to the Chaves Hospital.
