Algarve has 47 new cases

There are 47 more confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Algarve, according to data from the epidemiological bulletin of the General Directorate of Health (DGS) of today, September 25, which has just been published.

Thus, there are currently 1,513 cases of the disease diagnosed in the Algarve, in accumulated figures since the beginning of the pandemic.

In Alentejo, the total number of infected by the new coronavirus, in accumulated terms, amounted to 1,412, 30 more than yesterday.

At the national level, this Friday 899 new cases are added, raising the total diagnosed since the start of the pandemic to 72,055.

On the other hand, there were 327 people recovering from the disease, which means that 47,003 people have already killed Covid-19, across the country.

In other words, there are now 567 more active cases, the total being 23,116.

As for deaths, there are now 5 more: three in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, one in the Center region and one in the North. In total, 1936 people have died in Portugal, due to Covid-19.

By region, Lisbon and Vale do Tejo and the North are those that most contributed to the daily increase in cases, with more than 505 and 263 new infected by the new coronavirus, respectively.

In Lisbon, in accumulated terms, there are already 36,904 diagnosed cases, while in the North there are 25,869.

It is followed by Centro (5885, plus 52), Algarve (1513, plus 47), Alentejo (1412, plus 30), Azores (261, plus 2) and Madeira (211, with no new cases).

In hospitals, the number of people hospitalized increased again, this time to 624 (36 more), of which 86 are in the intensive care unit (1 more).

In the last 24 hours, there was an increase in the number of contacts under surveillance, which are more than 1089, now totaling 42,785.
