This is how I have felt in recent days, as if I was in jail … I came to Madeira on vacation and, a few days later, my test came back positive and they immediately transferred me to another hotel. I have not left the room since that day, shortly after arriving here. I thought I could deal with this much more easily, but every day that passes is more difficult. It’s hard to be alone because I have no way to distract myself, how to deal or solve problems, how to be with the people that matter to me. Like being with anyone, actually. What saves me are the calls I receive every day from my friends and family, who always keep me positive. I created a routine so as not to lose focus and I have done my best to see if I carry this animal inside of me. Now we have to wait for the next test, which is already 9. I despised this virus a little from the beginning and never gave it much importance, but sometimes we have to feel it on our skin to gain a sense of reality. This outburst serves to alert everyone to be careful and also to give strength to people who are hospitalized and people who feel alone. A big thanks to the health professionals for their effort and dedication and also thanks to the Regional Government of Madeira and the Pestana Group for taking care of me and those in my situation with all their affection and for always being available. I appeal to people who think this is a joke to be more careful and always apply safety measures. These symptoms are not at all comfortable, believe me, and neither is the mandatory quarantine period. @pestanacasinostudios @governoregionaldamadeira @direcao_geral_saude

Speaking to SIC, the young man explained that he came on vacation to Madeira for a five-day stay. He ended up doing the test upon arrival at the airport, which initially gave an inconclusive result. However, after a new test, he tested positive and sent the actor to another hotel, in a room where he can not go out “or do anything.”

“I have to stay here in quarantine waiting for the test to be negative. It has been 15 days since I have been here and if the test is negative, I am leaving now. If it is positive, I will be here one more week,” he revealed.

Asked by Diana Chaves if she was aware of the possibility of taking the test before boarding, Afonso Cabral Lopes knew that he could take it on time, but “it was full of things that happened and work”, so “it was difficult to schedule the proof” . Even more so because “there are many people who want to be tested, since there are more and more cases in Portugal.”

“All my friends who have already come here told me to do the test at the airport, upon arrival, because it is quick and it was dispatched. I had no symptoms. My friend’s test was negative and my inconclusive,” he added.

As for the symptoms, the actor assumed that he already had “some boring”, but now “is better”. Alfonso had “a fever, a lot of body aches, a lot of stomach pain, a lot of headaches, a lot of fatigue and difficulty breathing”, this in addition to continuing to have “a lot of coughing”.
