Lewis Hamilton returned to the wheel of the W11 yesterday after being out of the Sakhir GP. The Brit noticed differences in the car.

George Russell was at the helm of Hamilton’s car last weekend and will have made changes to the car at balance level that were not to the liking of the Mercedes champion:

“I missed doing what I love last week, so I was really happy to get to the track this morning. It took me a session and a half to get back on track, despite being out of the car for such a short time.

“The car was not exactly the same as it had left me, so now I am working to get back to feeling more comfortable in terms of balance.”

“We had a problem with the FP1 pedals and brakes that cost us about 40 minutes of track time, but the team did a great job of changing everything so quickly; They have been working for three weeks and they are still pushing. The sessions went well, in the last one I felt a little better, although we couldn’t do a long stint ”.
