Abrantes | Monitoring a motorcycle causes the death of the GIPS element

A motorcycle accident today caused the death of a 27-year-old man in Abrantes, a member of the GNR Relief and Protection Intervention Group (GIPS) that operated at the Sardoal heliport. The fatal screening took place at 2:43 pm, on EN 358, at a location between Aldeia do Mato and Carvalhal.

Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found the victim in cardiorespiratory arrest. Despite resuscitation attempts, death would eventually be declared at the scene of the accident.

Abrantes firefighters were present with four vehicles and 10 operatives, in addition to the Medium Tajo Emergency Medical and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER) and the GNR.

Accident causes two serious injuries in Bugalhos

An accident on the A1, at km 88, in the parish of Bugalhos, municipality of Alcanena, has caused two serious injuries today. The screening of the car occurred at 8:26.

Woman shot seriously in Tomar

A woman was seriously injured on Monday when she was shot in Charneca de Peralva, in the municipality of Tomar, a GNR source confirmed to Lusa, who did not give details of any arrests or the reasons for the incident.

The alert was given at 7:26 p.m. and there were ten GNR agents, municipal firefighters from Tomar, an SIV ambulance (immediate life support) and an emergency medical resuscitation vehicle (VMER).

According to a source from the Municipal Fire Department of Tomar, the victim is a woman between “between 30 and 40 years old”.
