Matheus Reis is getting closer and closer to reinforcing Sporting already in January 2021 and with at least four years of contract waiting, until 2025, which translates into seasons, four plus half remaining for 2020/2021.
The 25-year-old left-back of Rio Ave does not escape the lion, he must be a winter reinforcement, first to be an alternative to Nuno Mendes, then his replacement – if the administration manages in summer to transfer the 18-year-old forever above the 45 million euros of the current buyout clause, which will go up, but also to resolve a central issue now: with him, and because he can also take an inside position, the lions will no longer need to look for a central defender in this market window as it became a priority.
