Germano Amorim was re-elected for the fourth term as president of the Humanitarian Association of Firefighters of Arcos de Valdevez (AHBAV), in a general assembly held on Monday.

Practically the entire management team for the 2020-2023 triennium remains on the only list submitted to suffrage, with only one new member, Francisco de Barros Araújo, to register. Heading the General Meeting and the Supervisory Board are Olegário Gonçalves and Rogério Sousa, respectively.
The General Assembly also presented and debated the plan of activities and budget for the year 2021, approved unanimously, without abstention or vote against.
Among the program of the winning list, among others, the inauguration of the works of the barracks, scheduled for May 2021, at the time of the 132 anniversary. Equip the entire infrastructure with modern, comfortable and functional furniture; Acquisition of new vehicles, renewal of the existing fleet of emergency vehicles and fire fighting vehicles; Equipment – Continuous investment in the acquisition of protective equipment (NOMEX suits), different clothing for firefighters and fanfare and purchase of bed and bath textiles, individual and duly identified; Human / operational resources – Continuous investment in training and professionalization of firefighters; Certified training entity – Acquire adequate computer equipment and audiovisual media for the achievement of new purposes such as training and the rental of spaces to the public; Quality certification – quality certification by DGERT.
