The target audience for the second phase is made up of people with chronic non-communicable diseases and other special conditions, prison staff, adolescents and young people aged 12 to 21 under socio-educational measures, a population deprived of liberty, truckers and dock workers. Professionals from the security and rescue forces and drivers and collectors of public transport, also members of the target public, have already received immunizations at their workplaces.
The population interested in receiving the common flu vaccine should look for one of the 24 Basic Health Units (UBS) available, from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The exception occurs in four units experiencing improvements in their structures and residents can search for the Harmonia, Central Park, Fátima, Guajuviras, Santo Operário or any other UBS units.
So far, 61,391 members of the priority groups that make up the first two phases of the vaccination campaign have been immunized, equivalent to a percentage of 48.58% of the total. Of this number, 44,482 of those immunized are older people who received the vaccine at home or at drive-in.
