For this season, which aired between 2009 and 2010, great names have passed in Portuguese fiction, such as, for example, Sara Matos and Lourenço Ortigão. It was the stage for many actors to gain prominence, but there were also several artists who now followed different paths of life. A TV 7 days He spoke to five of the actors who joined the cast ten years ago and shows him how they are now!
Sandra Silva
Sandra Silva, now 23, was a teenager when she participated in the Strawberries with sugar. At just 13 years old, little Carolina from the youth series was part of what she says was the project where she felt «More change». “It made me grow a lot”Trust “The project I was most connected to was Fresas, but I did other things that didn’t have as much media coverage”, it means.
From short films, telefilms, theatrical shows, soap operas, a movie, series, contest presentations and, more recently, the commitment to the digital area, Sandra has always remained connected to the world of representation and show business. Despite being stopped in that direction, the young woman does not hide her desire. “Back to the representation of soap operas and movies”. “I only see myself in this environment”, confesses Sandra, who at the age of five began her career in the world of representation, participating in calls and television commercials.
Behind it was the Degree in Sociology, a profession that he never got to practice. Carolina dos Morangos com Açúcar is currently developing a digital project, Eu Partilho Em Casa, which consists of rights “with actors, artists and presenters” on social media.
Miguel Santiago
Miguel Santiago who gave life to Fábio U.S Strawberries with sugar, he finds “a little strange” to see his face on television again, after 10 years. From an early age, she continued her passion for acting and participated in several musical theater plays, but it was with the TVI youth series that she felt, for the first time, the true “Impact” from the world of television. Even today, Miguel receives many messages from young people who accompany the Strawberries and says that he has gained new followers since the channel spent its season again.
He assumes that he prefers to be “very discreet” on social networks and that the character he played at the time is exactly “opposite to him”, and that is why he marked him so much: “Fábio was very outgoing and very boastful.” He was in his 20s when he entered this project and confesses that, at the time, he did not know how to deal with public exposure: “At the time, I was not aware of the impact that actors have on people’s lives. I had no idea that, doing what I always did, I was going to expose myself in a big way. I am a little embarrassed and introverted, everything that is too much confuses me a lot ».
Something that, after this time, he learned to deal with due to the profession of artist that followed. Miguel, now 32, has always remained connected to the theater and has had a few appearances on SIC soap operas (such as Terra Brava) and TVI. At the moment, he is detained, there are hopes that the tests of a work of which he is a part will resume.
Sofia Mota
Sofía Mota was 18 years old when she participated in the TVI youth series, in what she says was «The first real job» I had. ««Before studying it was a very good change, it made me grow in many ways.», Begins by mentioning. Do you think your participation in Strawberries with sugar opened other doors in the world of representation, but not only! «After Morangos, I continued working as an actress. I did theater, some participations in soap operas and I was the protagonist of the series “Bet you love” in SIC Radical. I also worked at Sporting TV as a presenter », enumerates.
Parallel to this, and as “The works appeared spaced”, bet on studies and graduate “In Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations”, having worked as «Marketing manager in an agency». Currently, Sofía Mota has decided to invest in the aviation area and was working as a flight attendant.
José Pedro Fernandes
“It was one of the biggest challenges of my life.” Is so José Pedro Fernandes describe your participation in Strawberries with sugar. At 18, he left Braga for Lisbon to join the cast and be the mysterious Alex in the series «It was my first professional challenge. He had no experience in the field and had nothing to do with me. My character only wore black ».
Being an actor was never the goal of life and followed a completely different area. However, he admits that it allowed him to take various teachings for life: “I grew a lot as a person and as a professional”. He graduated in law, obtained a master’s degree in international law and works in the banking area. At the same time, she works as a model, since she has participated in international campaigns.
“Having participated in Morangos has greatly improved my ability to speak to others, speak in public, as well as my posture and voice projection”, he tells TV 7 Days. And would you participate again in the youth series? “I would definitely go back.”
Susana Jordão
Susana Jordão He was part of the cast of the seventh edition of Morangos com Açúcar, which now appears on TVI, when he was only 20 years old. About 11 years later, Susana remembers that «To be able to grow with the diversity of knowledge» what absorbed her was what marked her the most. The media exposure at that time guaranteed him “Some works”, that is, in the world of theater. «I continued doing musical theater until 2014. That year I was invited to do the vocal direction for a children’s play», He says.
After that, Susana decided to go for a career in aviation and became a flight attendant. Parallel to this, the former strawberry and her husband also have a project related to the world of entertainment. “My husband and I have a production company for shows and events, United Visionary Arts”, reveals.
With the return of the series in the afternoons of the Queluz de Baixo channel, Susana has been highly appreciated and has received “videos commenting that she already missed seeing me sing and act on television.” “I have many aviation colleagues who are getting in right now and tell me that they are watching me on television”he says jokingly.
