Barcelona beat Betis this Sunday, with Portuguese international Francisco Trincão scoring the winning goal for the Catalans, who remain in second place in the Spanish soccer league.
The 38-year-old Spanish forward Borja Iglesias beat Betis, who had Portuguese midfielder William Carvalho on the bench, but in the second half, at 59, the inevitable Messi equalized the match of La Liga matchday 22.
Víctor Ruiz’s own goal put Barcelona ahead in the 68th minute, but seven minutes later the Spanish defender scored with his right and made it 2-2.
But Trincão (ex-Braga) appeared in the 87th minute to give Barcelona three points, with a cross shot from outside the area, a candidate to be one of the best goals of the week in Spain, making his debut with the Blaugrana.
The Catalans now add 43 points and are in second place in La Liga, on an equal footing with their rival Real Madrid, and seven points from the leader Atlético de Madrid (who have two fewer games).
