– PORTOS DOS AÇORES CASE – The 33 positive cases reported yesterday at the Portos dos Açores company, as a result of screening with a rapid test at that company, in the field of occupational medicine, are being confirmed today, in a PCR test operation covering all employees of that company in S. Miguel.
– There are currently 588 active positive cases in the Region, 556 in S. Miguel, 27 in Terceira, two in Pico, one in Faial, one in Flores and one in Corvo.
– To date, 3,366 cases of contagion have been detected by the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes the COVID-19 disease, with 23 deaths and 2,656 recoveries.
The measures to prevent and contain a pandemic must be maintained and strengthened, whenever possible, by citizens and organizations from the public, private and social sectors.
