The worst day in history with 118 deaths and 10 176 infected by Covid-19 in the last 24 hours – Society

It is the worst day of the Covid-19 pandemic in Portugal: this Friday there is a record of 108 deaths and 10 176 infected, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the DGS.

So far, the country has 7,590 deaths and 466,709 confirmed cases.

The number of hospitalized patients has skyrocketed in 24 hours: there are 188 more compared to Thursday, for a total of 3451. There are still 22 more people in intensive care (536, in total).

360 181 people have recovered from the disease so far, 4,480 in the last 24 hours.

The Region Region and Lisbon and Tagus Valley (LVT) concentrates 2969 of the new cases, followed by the North Region with 2969, the Center Region, with more 1963; the Alentejo, with 433 more and the Algarve with 400 more.

Most of the deaths registered in the last hours occurred in the LVT region (44). The North counts another 34 deaths, the Center another 26, the Alentejo nine more and the Algarve three more.

The Autonomous Regions of Madeira and Azores represent 65 and 55 more cases, respectively. Madeira registers two deaths from Covid-19 in 24 hours.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 256,711 women have been ill from Covid-19. The number drops to 209,840 in the case of infection in men. There are still 158 cases whose gender is unknown.

As for deaths, 3,956 correspond to male elements and 3,634 to female elements.
