Edgar Davids is Olhanense’s new coach.
The news was advanced by the newspaper The ball, in this Monday’s edition, and in the meantime confirmed both by the former Dutch international, with a photograph of the symbol of the Algarve emblem published on social networks, and later by the club, in a statement.
Edgar Davids was currently an assistant to Telstar, Dutch second division, and previously was a player-coach for Barnet, England.
Now he moves to the Algarve to take over the Olhanense, which had ended with José Carvalho Araújo.
As a player, Davids represented Ajax, Milan, Juventus, Barcelona, Inter, Tottenham and Crystal Palace.
He was European champion of Ajax, and among the honors are three Italian titles with Juventus.
