A 23-year-old young man, in an attempt to help the wounded from a projection on the A3, was fatally run over this morning in the parish of Guisande, municipality of Braga.
It all happened when a pickup truck entered a search, resulting in two minor injuries. In an attempt to help, a young man, who had stopped the vehicle on that road, was hit by a third vehicle.
“Despite the efforts of the teams at the scene, it was not possible to resuscitate the victim and death was declared at the scene,” confirm the Volunteer Firefighters of Famalicenses, who were in the theater of operations with differentiated support from VMER Braga and Famalicão.
The A3 was cut off from traffic and the three injured resulting from this theater of operations, one of whom had been imprisoned, were evacuated to the Braga Hospital.
The alert was given at 9:36 am, mobilizing 25 operational troops to the site, among which a team of INEM psychologists has been mobilized to support the victims’ families.
Also in the theater were the Firemen Sapadores de Braga, as well as BT da GNR took care of the occurrence.
