Several international organizations, including the United Nations and the African Union, have expressed concern about the increase in violence in this country due to the presidential and legislative elections held last Sunday.

In a country with two thirds of the territory occupied by armed groups, thousands of people were prevented from voting or deprived of their voter registration cards due to insecurity due to the civil war that has raged in the Central African Republic for almost eight years.

The first partial results are expected on January 4 and the final results on January 19.

A possible second round is scheduled for February 14.
