Madeira says goodbye to an atypical year with fire – DNOTICIAS.PT

A fireworks show, with novelties that include a strong commitment to poles in the sea, marked the end of 2020, a year in which the covid-19 pandemic marked the lives of people.

The entry into 2021, the year in which the return to normality is expected, was even ‘anticipated’ in Funchal, for five minutes. The marker that usually shows the date, in São Gonçalo and changes precisely on New Year’s Eve, entered 2021 before.

A sample of the will of Madeirans to leave a year that will not be lost.

This year’s pyrotechnics were carried out by the Henrique Costa e Filhos company and were awarded for 980 thousand euros and involved 59 fire stations, 57 in Madeira and two in Porto Santo.

Of the 57, 27 were in the amphitheater in the bay of Funchal, 25 by the sea and five on maritime platforms.

With another video of the eight minutes of fire, we wish you all a healthy new year.

Once you’ve seen the fire, it’s time to rate the show. To do this, participate in the survey on the home page of our digital platform.
