Prime Minister António Costa tested positive for covid-19 again. This is his second test and the prophylactic isolation ends this Wednesday, December 30.
In a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, it was reported that “the Prime Minister tested negative for Covid-19 in the test he conducted yesterday and today the 14-day period of prophylactic isolation that had been determined by the health authority ends. The Prime Minister, who maintained all the executive activity and the non-face work schedule, will leave today the confinement that he carried out in the Official Residence of São Bento, resuming regular public activity ”.
On December 17, António Costa performed his first covid-19 test after the president of France tested positive for the coronavirus. On twitter, the prime minister explained that “due to the confirmation of the positive test by French President Emmanuel Macron”, with whom he was yesterday at the Elysee Palace in Paris. Then, Costa went into preventive prophylactic isolation until the health authorities evaluated the degree of risk.
