A woman and a man, 39 and 33 years old, respectively, were arrested by the PSP, during the early hours of Thursday, in Viseu, for being suspected of committing crimes of crimes against physical integrity qualified as an agent of authority, injuries, threats and disobedience.

In a statement quoted by the Lusa agency, the District Command of the Public Security Police (PSP) of Viseu, reveals that the arrests occurred after the security force received an alert for “a disorder among several citizens,” who ” they were warned “to go to their homes,” since they did not present any kind of justification for being on public roads outside the hours allowed for the permanence / movement of people on public roads, decreed by the state of emergency. “

According to the same note, an hour later, “both suspects remained on the public highway without presenting justification again, being alerted to the illegality of their conduct.” However, “they did not comply with the mandatory curfews in force and therefore were arrested for the crime of disobedience.”

“During the course of the arrest, the suspects adopted a hostile posture with insults, threats and attacks on the police officers,” adds the PSP.

According to the security forces, “a policeman had to receive hospital treatment.”

The detainees have already been notified to appear before the Viseu Judicial Court.
