The Government launched a simulator that allows each citizen to know when they will be vaccinated against covid-19.
The mechanism does not indicate the exact day, but in which group it fits and at what time of year the administration of the vaccine is scheduled.
The page only establishes a prognosis and does not allow to mark the vaccine. What will happen is that, at the scheduled time for the vaccination of your group, you should receive an SMS asking if you want to be vaccinated or not. If you answer “no” or do not respond, we will not tell you again. If you answer “yes”, you must be contacted later to schedule the specific date of administration of the vaccine.
This tool is part of the new Internet portal government in order to clarify the citizens and answer the most common questions.
The vaccine is free and optional and will be administered according to priority groups already established by the health authorities.
Like other European Union countries, in Portugal the vaccine is optional, free and universal, and is provided by the National Health Service.
Professionals from the university hospital centers of Porto, Coimbra, Lisbon North and Lisbon Central were the first to be vaccinated.
