Portuguese coach leaves Saudi Arabia club
Al Nassr announced the departure of Rui Vitória on Sunday, saying that the termination of the contract was reached in agreement with the Portuguese coach.
The 50-year-old Portuguese coach joined the Saudi club in 2018, having won the champion title for once, in addition to winning the Super Cup.
On social media, Al-Nassr announced the departure of the 50-year-old coach, at a time when the team occupies the penultimate place of the Saudi Arabian championship, with only eight points, the same as the last classified, Damac, in 10 days disputed.
In 2018/19, Vitória led Al-Nassr to the title and in the following season he finished the race in second place.
Before heading to Saudi Arabia, Rui Vitória spent four seasons at Benfica, during which time he won three championships and a Portuguese Cup. In the 2018/19 season, Rui Vitória started the season, but was replaced by Bruno Lage, with Benfica winning the title.
