Algarve has 125 new cases

There are another 125 cases of Covid-19 in the Algarve, according to data from the bulletin of the General Directorate of Health (DGS) of this Friday, December 25, which has just been published.

The Algarve thus has an accumulation of 7031 infected since the beginning of the pandemic and maintains 64 deaths.

In Alentejo, today’s bulletin reports 201 new infected people (total of 10,128) and 3 more deaths (total of 183).

Across the country, according to the DGS, this Friday there are 4,146 new confirmed cases and 2,593 recovered. This means that the number of active cases has increased (+1488). There are currently 70,178 active cases throughout the country.

The North was once again the region with the highest number of new cases registered (1,697), followed by Lisbon and the Tagus Valley (1,463), Center (620), Alentejo (201), Algarve (125), Madeira (11) and Azores (29).

As for deaths, there was also a slight decrease from the previous day, registering 65 more throughout the country, bringing the total to 6,478.

In addition to the 3 deaths registered in Alentejo, we must also regret this Friday, 29 more in the North region, 23 in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo and 10 in the Center.

In hospitals, the number of hospitalized patients decreased, with 99 fewer, totaling 2,754. The number of patients in intensive care, on the other hand, decreased, while now there is 1 less, totaling 504.

This Friday there are 90,093 contacts under surveillance, 1115 more than in the last DGS bulletin.
