UK passengers without proof at Faro airport Covid-19 ‘obstruct’ – Society

On Monday night, after the restrictions imposed on the movement of flights to and from the United Kingdom, – due to the new variant of the coronavirus detected in English territory, – there was a ‘flood’ at the Faro airport for passengers who had not previously tested Covid-19, leading to long queues (over two hours) at the site where testing for the new coronavirus can be performed.

The arrival of three flights almost simultaneously, from the United Kingdom, with “between 50 and 60 passengers” each, caused a ‘blockage’ in the entrances to the place where the PCR test for the new coronavirus is carried out. Several reports of angry passengers came to the CM with the long wait time and the fact that they were faced with the need to pay Covid-19 for the test.

According to what the CM found, three test stations on Covid-19 at Faro airport were in operation during the night.

A CM, ANA Aeroportos official source explains that “the arrival of passengers without this Covid-19 at Faro airport, in a massive way, caused embarrassment and greater delay in this process.”

The same source said that “ANA is, together with the other authorities, working to improve conditions and reduce passenger discomfort.”
