Azores with 29 new positive cases in the last 24 hours

On the island of São Miguel, of the 26 new positive cases, 19 are related to previously identified transmission chains, five resulting from three new transmission chains (one in Lagoa with three elements; one in Ponta Delgada and another in Ribeira Grande, with one element each), and two cases to evaluate.

On the island of Terceira, of the three new cases, two are the result of a new chain in Angra do Heroísmo and one is yet to be determined.

20 recoveries

The Azores have 20 recoveries in the last 24 hours, four on Terceira Island, all in Angra do Heroísmo and 16 in São Miguel (one in Lagoa, four in Ponta Delgada, one in Povoação, eight in Ribeira Grande and two in Vila Franca from the camp).

18 Hospitalizations

The Region has 18 admissions, 11 in the Hospital do Divino Espírito Santo in Ponta Delgada and 7 in the Hospital de Santo Espírito in Ilha Terceira (two of which are in ICU)

70 active drive chains

The Azores have 70 active transmission chains, 51 in São Miguel, a chain shared between São Miguel and São Jorge, and 18 in Terceira.

44 chains have been extinguished to date (four in São Miguel in the last 24 hours).

364 positive positive cases

There are currently 364 active positive cases in the Region, 278 in São Miguel, 82 in Terceira, one in Pico and three in Faial.

To date, 1,686 cases of infection with the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which causes the COVID-19 disease, have been detected, with 21 deaths and 1,214 recoveries.
