According to the information, prosecutors consider that the hacker is behaving ethically correctly, alerting the US authorities of the situation.

Let us remember that the hacker Victor Gevers made public, at the end of October, that he had managed, for the second time, to access Trump's Twitter account after only seven attempts with different versions of the password, until he found the correct one, which was “ maga2020 ”(lowercase abbreviation for their campaign slogan, 'Make America Great Again').

It is also known that Trump proceeded to disable the double verification system, so when trying to access the account, Gevers did not need to send a message to the president's mobile or email account to obtain entry authorization.

Although the company that manages the social network Twitter and the White House have always denied that this episode happened, the Dutch Public Ministry confirmed this Wednesday that Gevers did have access to Trump's account, but did not take advantage of the situation to use it on behalf of Trump , read their private messages, change the password or profile photo, possible options when accessing this personal data, says Lusa.

Computer hacking is punishable in the Netherlands. However, the Public Ministry concluded that Gevers met the criteria for not being charged, revealing that he was an ethical hacker, dedicated to "responsible disclosure" and that he contacted the authorities under his responsibility. Gevers alerted to the situation and gave advice on how to resolve the "vulnerability" of Trump's account.

It is also not the first time that Gevers, 44, has been able to access the account of the president of the United States. In October 2016, he and several friends found Trump's password in a database released by hackers.

At that time, Trump had entered the password "youarefired" (he is fired, "you are fired" in English), in reference to a phrase he used on his old reality show.
