In a statement, ANEPC explains that the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) foresees, from the afternoon of this Tuesday until the beginning of the afternoon of Wednesday, persistent rain (sometimes strong), strong wind and strong surf on the west coast.

In view of the forecasts, Civil Protection admits the possibility of accidents due to slippery pavement, falling branches or trees, floods and damage to mounted or suspended structures.

ANEPC informs that avoid any activity related to the sea, crossing flooded areas and alerting drivers to be especially careful when driving along coastlines and riparian areas.

Civil Protection also recommends cleaning water drainage systems, securing loose structures and adopting defensive driving, slowing down and taking special care with the possible formation of water tables and the existence of areas of low visibility. .
