Compensation to the family of the Ukrainian citizen, Ihor Homenyuk, who died at Lisbon airport on March 12, at the hands of the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF), will be provided by the same body, according to the diploma published this Monday in Journal of the Republic.

After the incident, “aware of the need to compensate, quickly and effectively, the widow and minor children of Ihor Homeniuk, so the Government understands that it must assume the responsibility to compensate for the death of a citizen under the custody of the State and in public facilities ”.
“It is determined that the aforementioned compensation is already supported by the budget of the Foreigners and Borders Service, exercising the right of appeal in the terms that result from the individual responsibility proven judicially,” he adds.
It should be remembered that the announcement of this compensation was advanced last Thursday after the meeting of the Council of Ministers.
