The Ukrainian ambassador left an interview with RTP when asked about the condolences that the Portuguese government presented in April to the family of Ihor Homeniúk, the Ukrainian murdered at the Lisbon airport.

That month, the Interior Minister sent the ambassador a message of condolences on the death of the Ukrainian.

In the interview, the diplomat did not clarify whether the message was transmitted to the family and asked to stop the interview.

Compensation to Ihor Homeniúk’s family will be borne by the SEF budget

The compensation to the family of Ihor Homeniúk will be paid from the budget of the Aliens and Borders Service.

The decision was approved by the Council of Ministers and now it is up to the Ombudsman to define the amount and conditions of payment.

The report of the Inspector General of Internal Administration concluded that there was an attempt to cover up the murder of Ihor Homeniúk by SEF directors at Lisbon airport. It refers to various irregularities committed during the period in which the victim was in the custody of the Portuguese State.

It will be a chain of complicity and cover-up that involves, according to IGAI, SEF employees, security company vigilantes, nurses and even doctors.
