Speaking to the magazine ‘TV7Dias’, Joaquim, a firefighter from Alentejo, revealed that he was near the scene of the accident with his girlfriend when he stopped his vehicle to help the musician, who had already left the car, by his own foot: “When we got to Ivo’s car, he was standing next to the center divider, shirtless. He was naked, shivering with cold, and when we talked to him, he was disoriented. He said it was all a dream what was happening to him. “
The firefighter also said that Ivo had a broken wrist: “Not an open fracture, as they said. Then I began to see his face turn black, perhaps from a collision he did, because the car had to somersault several times.”
While driving Ivo Lucas to his personal car, Joaquim called 112: “We took the boy to our car and I gave him my coat and turned on the car’s heating. My girlfriend stayed with him in our car, while I was helping the girl (Sara Carreira) who was in the car of the accident ”.
The peacemaker also reported that the 21-year-old had his belt on and that he only took it off with the proper authorization: “I was on the phone for 14 minutes.” “Ivo asked about his girlfriend and we only said that she was in critical condition, but that they were evaluating her (…) he didn’t even know what had happened to him. He said he was dreaming and he talked about a friend, who died of an accident two ago years and that the sister had her birthday the next day, ”he said.
Ivo’s concern was evident, having asked about his girlfriend several times.
