Communication problems in Messenger and Instagram
The services of the Facebook company, specifically Messenger and Instagram, have been out of service for almost an hour for thousands of users.
In Portugal, the problem with Messenger is felt at least from 9:30 am. On Instagram, the flaws were detected at 10 am However, this problem does not only affect Portugal. According to Downdetector, the problem affects the whole of Europe, as can be seen in the red spot on the map.
In Messenger, in the browser, a permanent message appears that says "There is no Internet connection." On the smartphone, messages are simply not delivered or take too long to deliver.
On Instagram, the problem also seems to be related to posts. The sender does not receive any delivery errors, but the person on the other end does not receive the messages, or again with a long delay.
Messenger is in the process of integrating with Instagram messages and some updates are being made, which may be the cause of the problem.
