The confusion about changing tires at George Russell’s stop could mean a penalty.

The failure of Mercedes that forced Russell to return to the pits could take away the point won from the young Briton. The rules say that each driver can only use 13 sets of slick tires per weekend. Now Valtteri Bottas tires have been put on Russell’s car, which means he used 14 sets. This implies disqualification from the race. It will be very difficult for Russell to escape this penalty, which makes this scenario even more unfair for # 63 who was brilliant all weekend.
