The government updated this Saturday, for the third time, the list of municipalities divided by risk sections, which will serve to differentiate the restrictive measures announced today by the prime minister and that will come into effect between December 9 and January 7.
At a press conference, the Prime Minister announced that 27 provinces will be removed from the list of provinces at risk (they will be classified as moderate risk), for having reported less than 240 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days.
With this change, there are 73 municipalities at moderate risk, eight more than the current 65. The number of high-risk counties increases to 92 (six more), 78 very high-risk (minus 2), and 35 extreme risk (minus 12).
António Costa announced that for the next two weekends the current restrictions will be maintained, prohibiting movement between all municipalities and collecting from 1:00 p.m. in municipalities with very high and extreme risk.
