As predicted here, Storm Dora is bringing a lot of instability to mainland Portugal. Rain, snow, rough seas and a drop in temperature are phenomena that accompany this depression. Here we see a video of Castro Laboreiro (Melgaço), where the appearance of snow completely transformed the landscape.

Images are being recorded from various parts of the country, mainly in the interior of the North and Center, which document the occurrence of snow. This cold front surface will cross the entire continental territory, leaving widespread rainfall, sometimes in a moderate regime and with greater accumulations in the Miño and Duero Litoral regions.

The polar air that brings this depression translates into snowfall in the lower regions. However, higher places will have a greater accumulation of snow. In Boticas (Vila Real), the occurrence of snow was also intense, as you can see in the following video.

The notices were sent to the population by Civil Protection, to inform about adverse conditions, in the same way as Several weather warnings were issued by the IPMA, including red warnings for rough seas, in some parts of the coast, orange warnings for snow and yellow warnings for wind.

Tomorrow a new drop in temperature is expected, accompanied by a very intense northwest wind. But nevertheless, rainfall will be scarcer and will spread irregularly across the territory.
