The Santarém district registered this Monday, November 30, two more deaths (both in Minde, Alcanena) and 150 new ones infected by Covid-19.
Ourém (41), Santarém (27), Torres Novas (16), Cartaxo (14), Rio Maior (14), Tomar (13), Abrantes (12), Almeirim (6), Coruche (3), Chamusca (2 ), Mação (1) and Sardoal (1), were the municipalities where new cases were registered.
Unlike in recent days, today only 22 were recovered, which caused the number of active cases to skyrocket again in the region, reaching 2,121, out of a total of 6,816, 4,554 of them recovered. The death toll reached 141.
In national terms, today there were 78 more deaths and 3,262 new confirmed cases from the new coronavirus, with 224 fewer active cases than in Portugal.
According to the DGS bulletin, there are less than 11 people hospitalized in intensive care, but 525 patients still need more attention in these units. In total, there are 3,342 people hospitalized with covid-19 in Portuguese hospitals (a record since the beginning of the pandemic).
