The search mission for an elderly woman who disappeared since yesterday in Sabroso, in the municipality of Vila Real, ended successfully, “thanks to all the professionals and entities involved,” the GNR said.
According to information from the GNR Command in Vila Real, the binomial of the GNR Technical Section in Penafiel, made up of the Guard-Principal Pereira and the canine Umla, contributed a lot.
“To all involved, our thanks, to the citizen rescued for a speedy recovery,” wrote the GNR, through social networks.
81-year-old woman missing since Monday
The alert for the disappearance of the 81-year-old woman in Sabroso, in the municipality of Vila Real, was given by a relative yesterday afternoon.
Since then, the octogenarian has been searched around the village of Sabroso, in the parish of Folhadela, by elements of the GNR Emergency Relief and Protection Unit (UEPS) during the night.
The GNR patrols were at the scene, accompanied by two kinotechnical teams, and some 40 elements of the Cruz Verde Firefighters of Vila Real.
